"sir, there's this strange man on the doorsteps again, should i let him in?"
a work that took me 3 late nights to make. modeled and rendered in 3ds max with scanline and heavily photoshopped afterwards. both faces [after making simple low-res versions in max] were sculpted in zbrush at a tremendous speed - 20 mins for the servant guy and 7 for the death [i timed it]. so yeah, zbrush rocks!
inspiration came from "corpse bride", that i've watched for more than 10 times now

air battle

hi, this time the action takes place on distant planet with daring maneuvers in spectacular air battles. Actually its pretty hard for me to decide witch category to choose 3d or 2d. this is a 3d mate if I may say. The ships are 3d while the sky and the particles are painted in Photoshop. Used a photo of a sky for the initial sky plate, but it mostly was repainted. Used max for modeling, vray with harsh key light and fill light, to give it a “high altitude” look and Photoshop to composite it all together.
the ship was modeled few months ago, you can check it out in my portfolio.
So hope you like it
this is my installment on the domed structures in city scapes
used quite a lot of greeble on this one. took me about 4-5 long evenings of modeling and render experiments. later it was heavely modified in ps, like the clouds and diferent lights on the buildings.
hope you like it!
